The QUALCOMM Globalstar satellite-based fixed phone unit offers an innovative solution for quick, easy installation of communication systems in remote, hard-to-reach locations as well as in under-served urban and rural areas. The Globalstar fixed phone unit can bring a dial tone to areas where traditional telephone services are not economically feasible. The antenna and fixed phone unit are mounted at a convenient outdoor location with a clear view of the sky and connected to a variety of available indoor phone units using standard telephone cable.
